Leaving loved ones behind

"I'd like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me." Edgar A. Guest

That was a beautiful quote I received from my best friend. I thank God for the friends He has put in my life. To say goodbye to your friends and family is so tough, the tears have already been flowing and I still have one more day to go before I leave. Although this is not really goodbye... it's see you later.

A poem by e.e. cummings comes to mind when I think about leaving my loved ones behind:

i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Entering the World of Blogging

I am extremely new to the world of blogging so you will need to bear with me. It’s a Sunday evening and I am creating a blogging account instead of ironing and packing my clothes. I start my traveling adventures on Wednesday with a very early morning flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg then off to Abu Dhabi.

So let the adventures begin!
